While you are there make sure you hit up the wangan. Also if you are into food see if you can find a coco ichi which is a curry joint. I wouldn't worry too much about tracking down car parts because you wont save any money. It cheaper there because the cost of living is so much higher. So $600 for an exhaust system here will feel more expensive than there. Tokyo is a fun place, but the wangan is key. If you dont make it there your trip has been wasted lol.
